Gwent Week 2020 Official Post GWENT WEEK 2020 Oct 18th-24th Probably one of the few good things that came out of Covid was a tidal wave of all forms of creativity, and for the Total Drama Fanbase - a resurgence in what many had deemed a "dying fandom". Well apparently it's not as dead as people once thought all thanks to the power of binge watching on Netflix! And in the spirit of resurgence, I thought I'd do my damn hardest to bring back a Ship Week that I haven't heard much about since 2013, but I know that there are still loyal and loving fans of this pairing that yearn for that long dreamed 2nd chance. There's next to no chance of that happening in the series thanks to what's happened, how it ended, and even Tom's own repeated admissions to there "not being a market for the Original Total Drama anymore" (yeah right... ), but that doesn't mean us fans can't still continue that legacy in our own way, am I right? Hell - it's why fan seasons, fan comics, fan art, and fan fictions exist in the first place!!
Bringing it back - GWENT WEEK 2020 : Totaldrama
I applied Early Decision, received a scholarship, and declined invitations to interview at other top schools. Hands down, best decision of my life. Learned a ton, grew a ton, made lifelong best friends, traveled the world, and opened up endless possibilities professionally. At Fuqua I was involved in admissions and often talking to prospective applicants. I started to notice that many applicants were applying blindly and lacking insights that helped them determine the best school for them. I joined Veritas Prep as an admissions consultant, hoping to help applicants put their best foot forward and find the right fit for them. 2018-2019: I had interned at McKinsey and received a full-time offer but deferred it to spend the 2018 season with the Los Angeles Rams (NFL team). I worked under the VP of Strategy - best boss I've ever had - and we went to the Super Bowl. 2019-2020: Returned to McKinsey and worked on tech, sports, and strategy. Amazing firm & people but the travel wasn't for me so I accepted a job at Google, where I worked on an awesome central strategy team.

Having people that will vouch for you (I've had former bosses write me recommendations and invest in my startup), who like to be around you (I've been a Groomsman for former colleagues and have former colleagues as my Groomsmen), and can challenge & push you (my greatest mentors have been former bosses) will make life better. I've tried to build deep relationships at every step along the way. Not being afraid to take a chance. Having started off at small companies, I can't tell you how many times before b-school I got dinged by MBB, sports jobs, Big 4 whatevers, and other brand name companies. It's easy to get discouraged, but with enough reflection, understanding, and determination, those dream jobs are achievable (although again I think playing for the Red Sox has passed for me). I checked some of those dream job boxes but decided to take yet another chance by starting a company. By nature, the fact that you're thinking about an MBA means you're considering betting on yourself. It's not that you have to - but getting comfortable with betting on yourself will go a long way and I think something that is greatly underrated.
Saw this last night-it was AMAZING!! It was without a doubt the best show I have ever seen at Hazel Robinson, and prob one of the best shows I have seen on a stage in my lifetime. Every single performance is incredible. Especially Patrick who plays Hamlet, he makes the role more relatable, more passionate, and more human than I have ever seen of a modern Shakespearean actor. I am not much of a Shakespeare fan, always get lost in the language, and yet I understood every word and was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire performance. Didn't even feel like a long show. Superbly good. Definitely worth the FREE admission and lovely atmosphere. Bring some wine and warm clothes though!! It gets cold! !

I encourage everyone to spend a ton of time in reflection on priorities (beyond rankings) and do heavy due diligence on the right program for you. Networking with…. Everyone. I know this isn't for everyone, and honestly I'm a closet introvert. But it's so important to get to the source (especially if you don't have a pre-existing network). I'd ask connections at MBA programs about anything I even thought I might want to explore. Consulting, social impact, entrepreneurship, community presence, social life, intramurals… and when someone didn't have experience in that area, I'd ask if they knew anyone who did. And they put us in touch. Have enough of these conversations and hear enough anecdotes from people who share that interest and it'll help you visualize what your specific experience could be like. When people do this, it comes through in the applications and interviews - trust me. If you're having trouble finding students at the schools you're interested in, that's why I founded GradGab.

49/10. The site's consensus reads: " Admission has a pair of immensely likable leads in Tina Fey and Paul Rudd, but it wastes them on a contrived (and clumsily directed) screenplay". [10] Metacritic gives an average score of 48% based on 39 reviews, indicating "mixed or average reviews. " [11]

I returned home to California without a job and no real prospects. Fall 2008: I secured a job with a private equity advisory firm. This was great, because getting into the buy-side was a longer-term objective for me. 2009-2012: Worked my way up at the buy-side advisory firm, working on acquisitions in a variety of industries. Areas I focused on were EdTech & consumer goods. I eventually left after working with some really inspiring operating partners, hoping to get more "hands-on" experience creating value from within a company. 2013-2016: Joined a cool logistics tech company as employee #9. Got to work under the CEO on growth strategy, new product launches, and a rebrand. Left to pursue an MBA at Duke because the experience (and the amazing CEO) inspired me to continue to push my boundaries, develop as a leader, and potentially become a founder some day. 2016-2018: Attended Duke's Fuqua School of Business. I was fortunate enough to have a very solid network at all of the top MBAs and chose Fuqua for the culture (Team Fuqua is a very real thing).
